Instructions for Online Registration & Fee Payment 1. Click here to register online. Please fill out all fields completely. Bear Creek Camp is utilizing a new online registration system for this summer. If you run into problems when registering, or if any of the fields do not seem to work correctly please contact us at (570) 472-3741. 2. Click here to make online payment of camp fees. 3. After registering online a Registration Confirmation and further information about camp will be sent to you. DATES FOR SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS CAN BE FOUND ON THE REGISTRATION FORM.
If you encounter problems with online registration please contact Tracey O'Day at 570-472-3741 or bccamp@bearcreekcamp.org. Thank you for registering for a week at Bear Creek Camp! Additional Registration Information Paperwork and Payments § Complete the Registration Form and send it with your deposit to Bear Creek Camp. We cannot register campers without a complete registration form and deposit. Online registration and payment is available at www.bearcreekcamp.org/giving_&_registration. § Deposits and payments can be made several ways: o with a check payable to Bear Creek Camp o online electronic funds transfer o with your debit or credit card o with other bank accounts Please contact our Office Manager at 570-472-3741 or bccamp@bearcreekcamp.org. Processing registrations may take 2-3 weeks. If you have not received a confirmation in 3-4 weeks, please contact us. § After processing your registration form and deposit, we will send you a registration confirmation, Camper Health History Form 1, Camper Health-Care Recommendations Form 2, and the Getting Ready For Camp letter. These forms will not be sent by postal service if an email is indicated on the registration form. When you receive your registration confirmation, please review it and notify us if anything is incorrect. Especially look for the following items: o Child’s correct gender and grade completed o Camp session (First choices cannot always be granted. Please do not assume you are registered for your first choice.) o Buddy requests (Requesting a buddy during registration does not automatically secure pairings in our computer system. It is your responsibility to ensure that your requested buddy is registered for the same session and program as your child. Bear Creek Camp does not release this information.) § Send this paperwork back to Bear Creek Camp at least one month before the camper’s arrival: o Camper Health History Form 1 for health and safety reasons this four page form must be filled out by the camper’s guardian within six months of camp attendance. o Camper Health-Care Recommendations by Licensed Medical Personnel Form 2 for health and safety reasons this one page form must be filled out by the camper’s health care provider within six months of camp attendance. o Camper Information Form 3 must be filled out by the camper’s guardian. Campers will not be allowed to stay at camp if these forms are not completely filled out and on file at camp.
Scholarship Pricing § Camp fees are subsidized approximately 30% through donations to defray the cost of camp. Please consider making a donation to our campership fund to offset this subsidy. § Scholarship pricing only applies to the first program a child attends this summer. o 1st Time Camper Price - This rate is for children who have not previously attended a Bear Creek Camp summer program. o 2nd Sibling Price - If you have more than one child attending our summer programs in 2012, your child with the lower price program is eligible for this rate. o 3rd Sibling Price - If you have more than two children attending our summer programs in 2012, your child with the lowest price program is eligible for this rate.
Camperships § Due to financial hardship or sending multiple children to camp greater financial assistance is available for up to 1 week of a program through several sources for those needing it. § We work hard to insure that no child is turned away due to lack of funds. To receive assistance you will need to register for camp with at least a $100 deposit and submit a simple Campership Request Form. § Obtain a form by contacting (570) 472-3741 or bccamp@bearcreekcamp.org.
Discounts § Pastor’s Signature Discount -- Church members of the NEPA and SEPA Synods of the ELCA, and Episcopalian Diocese of Bethlehem and Philadelphia, are eligible to receive a discount ($10 for resident camp and $5 for nature day camp) if their minister signs the registration form. §BCA Discount -- Campers are eligible for a discount ($10 for resident camp and $5 for nature day camp) if their congregation has a registered Bear Creek Ambassador who attended a BCA Annual Meeting in 2012. If you are unsure if you qualify, please ask your pastor. § Early Bird Discount -- Campers are eligible for a discount ($10 for resident camp and $5 for nature day camp) if the total registration fee is sent with the registration form and is postmarked by March 1, 2012.
Canteen Cards, Camp Photos, or CD's (Residential Camp Only) These items are optional and not included in the program fees for camp and are not covered by scholarships or camperships. § The canteen card can be used in the camp store to purchase snacks or donate to a charity. To help create a level of equality between our campers, we only sell one $8 canteen card per camper. The camp store is open during registration and departure for those who would like to purchase camp shirts, water bottles, or other items. § A professional quality 8”x10” photo of your camper’s Quest Group is available for $8. § A slideshow of your camper’s week at camp is available for $8. This CD plays on computers. It is not a DVD.
Refund Policy § $10 will be charged for each change in camp registrations. § All registrations for residential programs are subject to a $100 non-refundable deposit. § Refunds for cancellations will be made according to the following schedule: o No-show or less than 2 weeks in advance – 0% Refund o 2 – 4 weeks in advance – 30% Refund o More than 4 weeks in advance – 60% Refund o Cancellations due to medical reasons: Refunded 100% when we receive a doctor’s certification. Transferring to another 2012 summer session or program may be done at no charge in lieu of cancellation, subject to program openings and availability.
